Perched there between tranquil playmates, lies civilization
Gods of the earth burning trails, my civilization
Waterside cafes and bars buzz by neon distractions
Street lamps and traffic lights firmly guide civilization
Friday night revellers grow splendid with due relaxation
While fishermen through distant haze, spy civilization
Star gazers keenly mourn subtle white jewel’s negation
No light emission trading schemes bind civilization
Cradled in cougar blue kisses and lambent reflections
The author reflects on his thoughts beside civilization

Another Ghazal – inspired by Rick Mobbs image prompt – harbor lights. Thanks Rick, and congratulations to you and your family on the birth of Ada Corinna Swinton.

Hi Brad, thanks for the message.
Nice blog you have here! I’ve been spending a lot of time on other activities and I’m busies than ever – hence the blog is taking a back seat.
Cheers
Sacha

Love the poem, the repetition, the thoughts expressed. Thanks for thinking of us.
