The Orchid Room by Paul Squires

The Orchid Room is a collaborative writing project. Anyone can participate. Just a leave a comment like talking to the bartender or one of the performers. If you would like a night on stage you can audition anywhere” (Paul Squires: The Orchid Room, At the bar).

I’m very proud to have added a new performance piece to the Orchid Room this month, and equally proud to be sharing the stage with every one of the wonderful performers there.
Written with my love and respect for Paul Squires, Segue is my contribution to the entertainment in the lead up to the upcoming celebrations being held at the Orchid Room in honour of Paul.

It is my hope and desire that ‘Segue’ successfully expresses the tenets or main principles of collaboration and community engagement that Paul impressed, to my mind, throughout his words in the Orchid Room; principles that I think extend, one way and/or another from/into Paul’s works at gingatao.com, The Puzzle Box, and much more to come.

All going my mind to your mind, I’ll see you at the party next weekend. I’ll be the one in the corner watching for flashes of jewelry/jewellery.

  1. I’ve got no idea what’s going on in this blog — maybe spending seven hours with a big family get together didn’t help — but I’ll go along with anything that promotes good writing to a wider audience. keep m,e in touch with what’s going on

  2. I like to think of the activities here in terms of ‘eclecticism’ :) it’s like a big family get together! Hope to see you in the Orchid Room this weekend. I’ll add you to the mailing list. Thanks John.

  3. Looking forward to the celebrations :) Has something really weird happened to your blog?

  4. Oh! I found a hidden panel with some mysterious looking drop-down boxes on it, and started opening and closing them to see what would happen! :)
