Honestly, it can make my head spin to think about how many ways there are to construct reality if I let myself think that way, but then when I think about all the directions our heads rotate, revolve, and race through space-time it seems to turn out that thought is like having a heartbeat and breathing. We don’t have to think about doing it.

Once in a while you get shown the light
In the strangest of places if you look at it right
(Grateful Dead: Scarlet Begonias (Studio Version))
Maekitso, the administrator of an online café, wants to develop a standards-based project around the notion of doing patience on the road, as opposed to being patient on the road. As he turns a corner with these thoughts on his mind, he is brought to a halt by a white limousine. It is parked, in front of the local Greek Orthodox Church, right on top of the other side of a pedestrian crossing. It’s one of those crossings with a safety strip in the middle, so he can’t go through the middle of it. There’s a long line of traffic coming up the other way, and he can’t get around the bloody limo. There’s a guy in a suit standing behind it, and when he looks him in the eye he looks away. He starts to get the shits, but then I realise that I don’t need to be anywhere, so I chill. The man in the suit looks back at me, and I smile. The long line of traffic is gone now, and he waves me around. As I go past I can see it’s a stretch limousine, and parked at its front is a black limousine with a coffin being lifted into it. I keep going slow after I’ve passed it, and the guy on my tail beeps his horn. They shake their heads.
